Digging for the tree trunk

We took a beautiful horse drawn sleigh ride today to get our Christmas tree. There was sooooo much snow it was hard telling what the trees actually looked like! Fin was using the saw to breakthrough the hunks of snow encapsulating each tree! May found the winner then we had to dig down through a foot of snow to find the trunk! The farm had a beautiful cabin serving up hot cocoa and cookie decorating next to a roaring fire. Fin smoked Byron in checkers while we watched the steam rising of wet gloves. A great day and new VT tradition.
